Georgetown Law's Human Rights Action, in partnership with the Human Rights Institute at Georgetown Law are pleased to announce the release of their report: Refugee Crisis in America: Iraqis and Their Resettlement Experience. This fact-finding mission took place over nine months in four cities: Washington. D.C., Detroit, MI, San Diego, CA, and Amman, Jordan. Students interviewed scores of refugees as well as representatives from UNHCR, IOM, the U.S. Government, and NGOs including the Chaldean Federation of America to better understand what happens to Iraqi refugees once they are resettled to the U.S. as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the U.S. resettlement program in helping to ensure long-term refugee self-sufficiency and integration. https://www.law.georgetown.edu/cle/RefugeeCrisisInAmerica.pdf. The student researchers look forward to meeting with various stakeholders in the coming weeks and months to discuss their findings and recommendations. Please feel free to widely share the report and direct all questions and concerns to the researchers at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
